Brand Design + Art Direction
A whole new Look.
NOOCH IT!, a vegan cheese topping made by parent company Uprise Foods, hired me to develop new branding that would help their products stand out among its competitors. The owner of the company was reluctant to make changes to their logo but was still looking for a whole new look for the company. I did spend some time working on logo ideas hoping that it would provide a foundation for a new visual identity.

The client wanted to begin by updating the packaging for his vegan cashew parmesan which consisted of both a small bottle and a larger pouch. All future branding would be based on these designs. I decided to focus on communicating the healthy, earth-friendly aspect of the brand by using lots of green and warm-toned pictures of cashews. I felt that this would make the packaging not only visually appealing but also appetizing.
I also created a pattern that consists of a single cashew and a cheese grater that has now become a commonly used background in the brand's marketing.

There was a second attempt to sell the Owner on updating the logo by showing how it would appear on the new packaging and in advertising, however, the owner chose to keep the existing logo.

After the new package designs were in circulation and customer comments regarding the new look were positive, the client expressed confidence that we were on the right path with his branding and asked me to update the logo for their parent company, UPRISE FOODS.
