Brand Design + Art Direction
A whole new Look.
NOOCH IT!, a vegan cheese topping made by parent company Uprise Foods, hired me to develop new branding that would help their products stand out among its competitors. The owner of the company was reluctant to make changes to their logo but was still looking for a whole new look for the company.
New Package Design
The client wanted to begin by updating the packaging for his vegan cashew parmesan which consisted of both a small bottle and a larger pouch. All future branding would be based on these designs. I decided to focus on communicating the healthy, earth-friendly aspect of the brand by using lots of green and warm-toned pictures of cashews. I felt that this would make the packaging not only visually appealing but also appetizing.
I also created a pattern that consists of a single cashew and a cheese grater that has now become a commonly used background in the brand's marketing.
Label Design for Umami Sauce
Uprise Foods asked me to design a label for a new Umami Sauce that they were adding to their product lineup. They were looking for something that instantly communicated that this was a Japanese inspired sauce. I looked to traditional Japanese art for inspiration.
Label Design for Chipotle Pineapple Fusion Marinade
As my client continued to add to their product lineup additional label designs were requested. They wanted their Chipotle Pineapple Fusion marinade to convey the Mexican inspired taste and specifically asked the I use the Mexican Day of the Dead celebration be my inspiration.
Label Designs for Uprise Foods Grapeseed Oils
Uprise came to me with a request for coming up with a look for the labels of three new grapeseed oils. They wanted there to be a common thread in the look of these labels that would also align with their branding on the Nooch It! family of products. They also communicated that these designs should take into account their plans to add additional oils to the lineup in the future.
